Man remanded over Dublin murder

A man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man in Clontarf, north Dublin over two years ago.

A man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man in Clontarf, north Dublin over two years ago.

Michael Taylor (29), with an address in Summerhill, Dublin 1 appeared in Dublin District Court charged with the murder of Paul Kelly on April 6th, 2007.

Mr Kelly (26), a father of two from Gardiner Street in the north inner city, was shot six times as he opened the door of a family member's apartment at about 11.45pm at Windsor Ville Apartments, Charlemont Road, Clontarf.

Judge Hugh O' Donnell  remanded Mr Taylor in custody in Cloverhill prison to appear before Cloverhill Court on September 30th.

The accused, who made no reply to the charge, was granted legal aid. Judge O'Donnell also ordered that the book of evidence in the case was to be served in six weeks.
