A man was remanded in custody today charged with the murder of father-of-two Daniel Gaynor in Dublin last August.
Mr Gaynor (24), was shot in the neck and chest as he walked with his partner and two young children along St Helena’s Road in Finglas, on August 14th.
Keith Wilson (22) of Cremona Road, in Ballyfermot, was brought before a sitting of Blanchardstown District Court. He had been arrested on Sunday night
Sgt Peter Brady told Judge John O’Neill that the accused, who was wearing blue jeans and a grey t-shirt, was charged 10.27pm last night at Finglas Garda station.
The court was told the defendant replied “no comment” after caution.
Tracy Horan, for Mr Wilson, applied for legal aid to be granted to her client, whom the court was told was unemployed.
The accused was granted legal aid and remanded in custody.
He will appear again at Cloverhill District Court on November 17th.
