A 38-year-old man has been remanded in custody for a week in connection with an alleged air rage incident on a transatlantic flight.
Mr Raymond McColgan, with an address in Derry city, was arrested by gardaí at Shannon Airport yesterday after he was taken off an Aer Lingus flight from Boston.
He appeared in Ennis District Court this morning charged with being intoxicated and for disorderly conduct on board the flight. He was also charged with refusing to desist from his behaviour.
Judge Joseph Mangan refused to grant Mr McColgan bail following Garda objections and remanded him in custody in Limerick Prison to reappear in court on January 7th.
