A CATHOLIC priest has told mourners at the funeral of Mr John Molloy in north Belfast that his killers would have to "carry a terrible burden" all their lives, writes Suzanne Breen, in Belfast.

Father Martin Magill said yesterday they were "more to be pitied than condemned". Mr Molloy (18) was found lying in a pool of blood on Lansdowne, Road, near his home, on Saturday morning.

He had been stabbed up to nine times in the chest, arms and head. He died in hospital from his injuries. He had been on a night out with friends. The attack is believed to have been sectarian.

The RUC has renewed its appeal for information about the killing. It is anxious to speak to a group of youths in the vicinity at the time.
