A man was shot when he answered the door of his house in Dublin's inner city last night.
The man was injured in the shoulder during the incident which happened after 11 p.m. in Croke Villas, Ballybough. His partner and two children, who were in the house at the time, were unhurt. The gunmen drove away on a motorcycle, gardaí believe.
The 26-year-old was taken to the Mater Hospital by Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The scene of the shooting has been preserved for examination, a Garda spokesman said.
