Gardai in the Longford-Leitrim border area are seeking a man following an apparent attempt to abduct a nine-year-old girl at knife point on Saturday evening.
The girl was offered a lift on the Drumlish/Cloone road near her home. When she refused, the man grabbed her by the arm and appeared to have a knife in his hand. He released the girl and drove off when a car stopped nearby.
