Limerick gardai are still seeking a 29-year-old man they consider as "armed and dangerous" after a young woman was shot in a city-centre nightclub early last Saturday morning.
Gardai yesterday asked the public not to approach him and advised people to contact them if they think they have seen him.
The woman, Ms Georgina O'Donnell, St Brigid's Avenue, St Mary's Park, died in hospital on Sunday evening from handgun wounds to the head as she tried to protect another woman who had been the gunman's partner.
The removal of her body to St Mary's Church takes place this evening and the funeral is tomorrow.
Gardai are also investigating the death of Mr Thomas Murphy (27), single, of Crossroads, Thomondgate, who was involved in a row with another man near the Treaty Stone in Limerick. His body was taken from the river Shannon at early on Monday morning. A post-mortem was carried out and gardai are trying to establish if he was pushed or fell into the river.
