Man, woman plead guilty to Dublin manslaughter

A man and woman have pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to the manslaughter of a Dublin man (54) last year.

Anthony Jordan died at a flat in Balbutcher Lane, Ballymun, Dublin between May 10th and 11th, 2003. His badly beaten body was found at the flat a few days later.

Christopher Geraghty (34), of Knowth Court, Poppintree, and Tanya Lamb (25) of Mountainview Park, Rathfarnham, Co Dublin, today both pleaded not guilty to murder.

Lamb cried as she pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter. Geraghty made the same plea.

The state accepted their pleas, and Mr Justice Paul Carney remanded both of them in continuing custody for sentencing on December 13th.
