A management buy-out of Swiftcall Ireland has been agreed by Japanese telecoms firm KDD and senior staff at the company.

A management buy-out of Swiftcall Ireland has been agreed by Japanese telecoms firm KDD and senior staff at the company.

Company CEO Mr Tommy Tuite CTO Mr Fergus Kernan orchestrated the management buy-out.

Originally established by Tom McCabe in 1994, Swiftcall provides long distance calls at discounted rates and sells phone cards in newsagents throughout Ireland and England.

According to CEO, Mr Tommy Tuite "The company is now Irish-owned and operated again and will continue to offer the same keen level of personal service that it has offered for 11 years.

Swiftcall employs 30 people at its Dublin headquarters on Merrion Road.
