Soccer:Wolves have signed Chelsea utility player Michael Mancienne for a third loan spell with the player to remain at Molineux for the remainder of this season.
Mancienne initially played an important role in helping Wolves gain promotion from the Championship during the 2008-09 campaign.
He then rejoined the midlands club for last season and was used initially as a central defender and then in a holding midfield role.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy recently claimed the Blues want to sell rather than loan the 22-year-old former England Under-21 international, who he believes has asked to leave Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea were understood to looking for a fee between €6million and €7million for the player, but the midlands club were not willing to meet the asking price, resulting in another loan spell.
Mancienne, who has played only six times in five years for Chelsea, was also linked with a move to Newcastle.
