Johannesburg - A team of South African doctors said yesterday that they had detected abnormalities in the blood of former President Nelson Mandela and would carry out tests.
"At this stage we must stress that all his lungs and his heart are in good condition," Mr Michael Plit, Mr Mandela's personal neurologist, told reporters. Mr Plit was flanked by Mr Mandela himself, who looked relaxed and remarked that he was not going to die that night.
