Second-round play in the 66th Masters golf tournament resumed this morning in a steady downpour of rain.
Competition was suspended on Friday afternoon and the scheduled resumption today was delayed for about 80 minutes.
A total of 38 golfers returned to the back nine holes at Augusta National Golf Club trying to complete their second round. The low 44 and those level with that score will make the cut.
Fiji's Vijay Singh is the clubhouse leader at nine-under par 135, four strokes ahead of Spain's Sergio Garcia, Ireland's Padraig Harrington and Argentina's Angel Cabrera.
Among those on the course are US Open champion Retief Goosen of South Africa, six-under par with seven holes to complete, and defending Masters champion Tiger Woods, three-under with eight holes to finish.
