The IRFU is confident tomorrow's Ireland v Italy clash at Lansdowne Road will go ahead. A protective covering was put in place at the ground yesterday. The Fairyhouse race meeting, postponed from January 1st due to snow on the track, has been rescheduled for Sunday next.
The Punchestown race meeting, called off on January 2nd, has now been abandoned. There will be an inspection of the track at the Naas Racecourse at noon today to determine if tomorrow's meeting can go ahead.
