Motorists are advised that traffic will be heavy around the Carton House Golf Club in Maynooth until Sunday.
Restrictions are in place in Kilkenny at the junction of O'Loughlin Road and Hebron Road due to the construction of a new roundabout.
Knapp's Square in Cork city is closed for roadworks until Tuesday, and motorists are advised to avoid Donegal Town where resurfacing works are taking place on the main street. Restrictions are also in place on the M1 at the Ballymascanlon Interchange on the Dundalk Western Bypass.
Passengers using Dublin airport are again advised to arrive at Dublin airport 90 minutes prior to their scheduled departure due to increased security regulations.
Those hoping for summer to make an appearance will be disappointed with showers, fog and cool temperatures predicted for much of the weekend.
Apart from golf, sports fans can look forward to the Munster hurling replay between Limerick and Tipperary at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick on Saturday. Throw-in is at 6.30pm and a large crowd is expected. Sunday sees the hurling semi-final between All-Ireland champions Cork and Waterford in Thurles at 3.30pm.
The Setanta Cup Final between Shelbourne and Linfield takes place at Tolka Park on Saturday at 7.30pm. Racing is at the Curragh on Saturday and Sunday with a large crowded expected on both days.
