GAA:John McAreavey has been included in the Down senior football panel for the championship after an impressive run of form for his club Tullylish.
McAreavey’s inclusion in the 32-man panel comes after he notched 1-12 in a recent game against Newry Mitchels.
He debuted for Down against Donegal in the 2008 McKenna Cup, when he found the net twice. He also played a half against Wexford in round three of the 2008 All-Ireland qualifiers.
McAreavey’s wife Michaela was murdered while on honeymoon in Mauritius in January. She was the daughter of Tyrone manager Mickey Harte.
