Cork's victorious hurlers with the Liam McCarthy Cup secure in Rebal hands for another year were greeted by a crowd of thousandson Leeside tonight.
Seán Óg Ó hAilipín's men visited Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children in Dublin this morning before boarding the 4.20 train home from Heuston Station. They arrived at Kent Station at 7.30pm welcomed by thousands of fans.
The team then traveled by open-top bus to Parnell Place where a stage and a crowd of roughly 40,000 turned up for the celebrations.
Galway's senior and minor teams were also welcomed home today, with the first reception taking place at St Michael's Square, Ballinasloe, at 2.30pm.
