GAA:Crossmaglen's Oisin McConville picked up a fifth AIB Provincial Player Award for 2010 and was joined by six first time recipients across both codes at today's awards ceremony in Dublin.

McConville, who was first honoured back in 1996, received the Ulster honour, while other football accolades went to Frankie Dolan, of first time All-Ireland Club finalists St. Brigid’s, Brian Kavanagh (Kilmacud Crokes) and David Niblock (Nemo Rangers), who received the Munster football award for his role in securing a 15th provincial title for his club.

The three provincial hurling awards went to Mark Bergin (O’Loughlin Gaels), Kevin Moran (De La Salle) and Liam Watson (Loughgiel Shamrocks).

Bergin’s impressive tally of 1-23 in the provincial championship secured him the Leinster vote, while Watson was honoured for his role in ensuring Shamrocks’ first title since 1989.
