Racing: Declan McDonogh recovered from a fall on Saturday to pass the doctor and ride a winner as Subtle Shimmer landed the Paul Magee Memorial Handicap at the Curragh.
McDonogh was taken to hospital for precautionary checks on his neck after his tumble but with no serious damage sustained, he was back in the saddle and scored aboard Joanna Morgan's 20-1 chance.
The jockey said: "My neck was a bit stiff this morning but it is fine really. I feel great and this was a good start."
Morgan added of the winner: "She was scanned in foal yesterday and was bouncing this morning. She is probably happier with a bit of dig in the ground. She is a really nice filly and will run in the Scurry Handicap next."
