Gaelic Games:Meath football manager Seamus McEnaney has survived a motion to remove him from his position at tonight's meeting of the county board.

Requiring a two-thirds majority or 49 of the votes cast, 43 were in favour of the motion, while 31 were against.

The Meath management committee had recommended that McEnaney’s tenure of a year and a half in charge should end and that former manager Seán Boylan take over in time for the start of the championship.

Meath were recently relegates to Division Three of the Allianz Football League having lost their last five matches and have won just two championship matches under the Monaghan man.
