Cavan long distance runner came home first in this afternoon's Flora Women's Mini Marathon in a time of 33.46.
McKiernan finished the 10km race almost a minute clear of second placed Jolene Byrne of Donore Harriers in 34.34. The wheelchair race was won by Patrice Dockery in 30.48.
It was McKiernan's fourth victory in the race she previously won in 1997, 1998 and 1999, although her slowest winning time to date. McKiernan broke clear early on and had a 50 metre lead by the 3km mark and was threatened from that point.
McKiernan now hopes to achieve an Olympic qualifying time of 31.45 at the 10,000 metres at Gateshead in three weeks time
