Denver - Six months ago, Timothy McVeigh was ready to die. Now the Oklahoma City bomber wants to live at least long enough to convict the US government of misconduct for withholding evidence in his case.
Mr Paul Robinson, a former prosecutor who teaches law at Northwestern University in Chicago, said yesterday McVeigh sealed his ultimate fate by deciding to stop the appeal process earlier this year, a move prompted by the prospect of spending years in a cramped cell.
