Galway 1-09 Kerry 2-16:Kerry took full advantage when Galway's Michael Meehan hobbled off the pitch in the 19th minute of their National Football League Division One game at Salthill.
By that stage the Tribesman had score 1-04 and was proving more than a handful for the All-Ireland champions’ defence, but in taking his goal he picked up a knee injury and his afternoon came to a premature end.
Galway managed just five more points in total as Kerry ran riot in the second half.
With the score at 1-05 to 0-06 at the break, the Kingdom emerged for the second half like a team on a mission.
Declan O’Sullivan began the fightback with a stunning goal, Colm Cooper added one of his own to take his tally to 1-06 and consign Galway to a third defeat from four games.
