Two Lithuanian men in their 20s have been charged with the murder of a woman whose body was discovered in a burnt out car in Wexford on Friday.

Ricardas Dilys (27) and Ruslanas Mineikis (25), both with an address at Davitt Road South in Wexford town, appeared before a special sitting of Wexford District Court this evening. Both men have been remanded in custody to appear before Clover Hill District Court next Friday.

A third man, Piotr Pasiak (26), originally from Poland, but with an address at Lower John Street in Wexford, was also remanded in custody to appear at Clover Hill next Friday, charged with acting with intent to impede the apprehension or prosecution of a person he knows to be guilty of an offence.

A woman's body was found near the Ballindinas roundabout at about 4.20pm in a blue opel corsa car with a partial registration 98 D.

Two women being detained in relation to the incident have been released and a file is being prepared for the DPP in relation to one of them.

A man his 40's remains in custody in Wexford Garda Station.
