Montferrand flyhalf Gerald Merceron was called up by French coach Bernard Laporte today to replace Agen's Christophe Lamaison for Saturday's Six Nations match against Wales.
Lamaison had a disappointing match against Italy two weeks ago in Rome, missing five out of eight penalty kicks.
Lock Abdel Benazzi, who pulled out because of a sore back, has his place on the bench taken by Bourgoin's Lionel Nallet while Agen winger Pepito Elhorga is in for Montferrand's David Bory among the replacements.
