Middlesbroughcompleted the loan signing of Dutch winger Boudewijn Zenden frompremier league rivals Chelsea today.
The Netherlands international joined Chelsea from Barcelonatwo years ago for 7.5 million pounds ($11.84 million) but failedto win a regular place in the team.
The 27-year-old was surplus to requirements at StamfordBridge following the recent signings of internationalmidfielders Damien Duff, Geremi, Juan Sebastian Veron and JoeCole.
Netherlands coach Dick Advocaat said last week that Zendenwas among four London-based Dutch players that should seektransfers if they wanted a place in the national squad for Euro 2004.
Zenden's Netherlands team mate, midfielder Giovanni vanBronckhorst, joined Barcelona on loan on Tuesday after failingto secure a regular starting place in the first team at Arsenal.
