Millwall have accepted a bid from Blackburn for their Republic of Ireland midfielder Steven Reid.
The 22-year-old will travel to Ewood Park for talks when Blackburn return from their pre-season tour in the United States.
Rovers chief executive John Williams told the club's official website www.rovers.co.uk: "We have had a bid accepted by Millwall for Reid. He is due for talks with us next week once the squad return from the US."
Reid said yesterday that he will not be rushed into anything.
"This is a good opportunity for me to go and talk to them and see what they have to say," he added.
Meanwhile, former Blackburn manager Kenny Dalglish says the sales of Damien Duff and David Dunn by the club emphasise the value of the academy system.
Both players came through the ranks before being sold on for big money with Chelsea paying stg£17million for Duff and Dunn going to Birmingham for £5.5million.
Dalglish told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It is unfortunate that Blackburn have had to move them on but the lads are very talented players and came through the academy system up there.
" The greatest way forward is when you have decent players is to keep them for yourself. The next best thing is to sell them on and make some money. The two lads have more than paid for the academy."
