A British government vet has warned farmers to expect more cases of the latest disease to attack British livestock.
Deputy Chief Vet Fred Landeg said control and protection zones were being widened after more cases of Bluetongue surfaced in East Anglia.
Bluetongue, which has spread across the continent in the past year, broke out in Britain last month when a cow was struck down at a farm near Ipswich, Suffolk
Since then the virus - spread by midges - has migrated to neighbouring Essex and more than 30 animals have been put down.

"We expect to see more cases before the end of the active midge season this winter," said Mr Landeg.
