New York - The number of women who said they were sexually assaulted on Sunday by young men roaming through New York City's Central Park rose to 24 from four yesterday and Mayor Rudolph Giuliani vowed to dismiss police officers who reportedly did nothing to stop the attacks.
Some of the victims, who included tourists from Britain and France, accused some officers of standing by or ignoring their pleas for help after being sprayed with water, stripped and groped in broad daylight in the park.
