Yorkshire-based mortgage administrators  Homeloan Management will announce today that it will create 400 jobs in Derry with a £9.5 million sterling investment.

The jobs are to be created over the next three years by the company, according to Northern Ireland trade, enterprise and investment minister Mr Ian Pearson.

Homeloan Management is a British provider of systems and process outsourcing solutions with assets worth £20 billion sterling and employing 900 people in Skipton, Padiham and Glasgow.

The decision to set up in Derry will have the potential to deliver £5 million a year to the local economy in salaries alone, Mr Pearson said.

The establishment of a call centre will be the first stage of the Derry operation; back-office mortgage servicing activities will be introduced later.
