Hong Kong - A group of musicians were alleged to have been masquerading as the famous Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra when they performed in Hong Kong last month, a report said yesterday.
Dimitri Yablonsky, the principal guest conductor of the real Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, told the South China Morning Post that the orchestra could not be playing in Hong Kong between August 7th-13th as it was in Europe at the time. "It is a huge scandal in Moscow, very upsetting," said Mr Yablonsky, adding that whoever was responsible knew exactly what they were doing.
