A mother and daughter have appeared in a Belfast court today facing charges over the discovery of an alleged paramilitary bomb-making factory on a Protestant housing estate outside Belfast.
Ms Rosemary Robb (44) and her 19-year-old daughter Tammy both deny four charges of having explosives, guns and ammunition with intent to endanger life. They were remanded in custody until next month.
The charges came after police said they found an under-car booby trap, pipe bombs, explosive powder, bomb-making equipment, a handgun and ammunition in a raid on a house in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim on Friday.
The raid was part of police efforts to combat the ongoing feud within loyalism.
