A motorcyclists in his late thirties has been killed in crash this morning, the third fatal road death involving motorbikes in 24 hours.

The 39-year-old man died after the vehicle he was travelling on apparently left the road before 8.30 a.m. at Keelogue near Killishin. A second person, believed to be a passenger was taken to hospital in Kilkenny.

Earlier today one of the two motorcyclists killed in separate crashes yesterday was named as Mr Raymond Moore (44) with an address at Knocknacarra, Co Galway.

Mr Moore died when his motorcycle collided with a tractor at Kinnegad, Co Westmeath, at 6.30 p.m. yesterday.

A 24-year-old man who died when he collided with a car at Grange, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, yesterday, has not yet been named.
