Roads across some parts of Co Dublin are reported to be badly affected this morning, with surface water and minor flooding a problem.

The road between Blake's Cross and Lusk Village (R127) is flooded and motorists have been advised to take alternative routes. There is also minor flooding reported near the Cappagh hospital and excess surface water outside Stepaside village, on the Ballycorus Road and on the Murphystown Road.

In Co Wicklow, the road between the N11 and Enniskerry is said to be impassable due to flooding, while in Co Wexford, there has been minor flooding reported on the road between Blackwater and Enniscorthy.

Motorists are also advised to take care in on the R390 between Athlone and Mullingar, which is flooded around Ballymore.

There are also reports of heavy surface water on the N8 southbound between Durrow and Cullahill in Co Laois and minor flooding on the N7 near Nenagh, Co Tipperary.

Council staff are working to clear flooding on the Elphin Road in Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim, while flooding is disrupting traffic in some parts of Sligo town.
