Everton boss David Moyes wants referee Mike Riley to reconsider the red card he gave to skipper David Weir in the 3-0 defeat at Manchester United.
Weir was sent off for pulling back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the penalty that put United on the way to victory.
Moyes said: "You hope for a decision or two, but we never got anything all night. Maybe that was the first lesson to learn from Old Trafford. We didn't get a decision all night.
"I felt David tugged him outside the box and then got goal-side of Solskjaer before he was able to strike the ball. In fact I don't think Solskjaer was going to get a shot in.
"I don't think it was a sending off. I would hope the referee would maybe have another look at it, but knowing referees he probably won't," Moyes said.
