Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe and breakaway opposition Movement for Deomcratic Change(MDC) leader Arthur Mutambara signed a power-sharing deal this evening.
According to a senior ruling party official, the two men plan to form a national unity government.
The agreement does not include Morgan Tsvangirai, leader of the main opposition MDC party.
It is understood that President Mugabe is planning to convene parliament next week.
