Raymond Mulgrew and Tommy McGuigan remain injury concerns for Tyrone manager Mickey Harte ahead of their opening game of the Ulster Championship against Down in Omagh this Sunday.
Mulgrew has failed to make a full recovery from a shoulder injury he picked up last month, while his Cookstown club mate McGuigan is battling to overcome a hamstring injury.
"The injury (to Mulgrew) has been slow to respond to treatment," said Harte. "Tommy (McGuigan) is also struggling to prove his match fitness.
"He (McGuigan) is fighting with a hamstring injury. He hasn't been ruled out, but it is touch and go. He had to play a bit of club football and that caused a recurrence of the injury which put the whole time frame in problem."
Forward Owen Mulligan has already been ruled out of the Tyrone starting line up but could make an appearance from the bench. Harte will name his team on Thursday.
In recent years Tyrone have held the upper hand in the championship against their Ulster counterparts. Although Down lead the overall win count 12-11 their last win against Tyrone came in 1999.
Down are chasing their first Ulster crown since 1994, while defending champions Tyrone are chasing their fourth provincial title in 10 years. The winners will play Cavan or Armagh in the semi-final on Sunday, June 29th.
