GAA:Alan Mulholland will succeed Tomás Ó Flatharta as the Galway football manager after his appointment was rubber-stamped at a meeting of the county board tonight.
Mulholland, who led Galway to the Under-21 title against Cavan this year having also managed the Tribesmen to the 2007 minor All-Ireland, was the only candidate nominated for the position.
Ó Flatharta’s 10-month stint in charge came to an end in August after the county’s club delegates ratified a decision not to grant another year to Ó Flatharta and his management team.
