Rugby:New signing Johann Muller has been handed the captain's armband for Ulster's pre-season friendly against Bath at Ravenhill tomorrow night (kick-off 7.30pm).
Muller, along with other new recruits, Pedrie Wannenburg and Tim Barker, were named in Brian McLaughlin’s starting line-up today for the first of three pre-season friendly matches.
The Ulster pack shows plenty of experience with Bryan Young, Nigel Brady and Declan Fitzpatrick named in the frontrow.
Muller will lead from the engine room alongside Tim Barker, while Wannenburg, Robbie Diack and Willie Faloon form the backrow.
An experimental and youthful back line sees Jamie Smith, Mark McCrea and Tommy Seymour filling the back three with Ian Whitten and Darren Cave forming the centre partnership. Halfbacks Ian Humphreys and Paul Marshall will pull the strings behind the scrum.
Paddy McAllister, Adam Macklin, Ian Porter and Nevin Spence were named on the bench.
