Two friends from Mullingar, Co Westmeath are among the winners of the YouTube Next How-to Guru competition.
Dara Coyne and Brendan Brady's work has been named as one of the top 15 'How-to' channels on YouTube and theirs was the only winning entry from Ireland.
They will now receive a private Google Plus workshop series from industry experts and YouTube staff, $4,000 (€3,000) worth of production equipment and promotion on YouTube.
In December, YouTube launched the search for the best 'How to' lessons on the web to try to find the most unique, talented DIY channels on YouTube.
Mr Coyne and Mr Brady's channel, Your How To Do, was selected from the hundreds of entries.
The friends set up their YouTube channel in 2011 to teach people about some of their favourite things such as origami and pen tapping.
However, their football skills videos proved a hit with YouTube viewers and seen the pair gain thousands of hits.
To date, the channel has had over 7.4 million views and over 24,400 subscribers. They record their tutorials together and Mr Coyne edits the videos.
"We set up the channel because we had seen plenty of tutorials online but no one was doing it that well. We wanted to do things from a different perspective and showcase the stuff that we are good at like soccer skills," Mr Coyne said.
"It took between six months to a year for our hits to go up but we enjoy it so we would do it regardless of how many views we get. The feedback from our viewers has been amazing. We get lots requests to cover new tricks or tips and we try to cover as much as we can, but we still have a lot more to do and this motivates us to keep making our tutorials."
He said the pair was 'delighted' and the win would help them make more videos and improve their content.
