GAA:The last two remaining GAA fixtures scheduled for this weekend have fallen foul of the weather. Both the Munster and Ulster football finals were postponed following pitch inspections in Limerick and Clones this morning.
With no sign of the arctic conditions easing anytime soon, the Munster Council took the decision to postpone Sunday’s match between Dr Crokes and Nemo Rangers at the Gaelic Grounds.
A possible change of venue to Mallow had been mooted but that has also been ruled out. The meeting of the Kerry champions and their Cork rivals will now take place on Sunday week in Limerick.
In Ulster, the match between Crossmaglen Rangers and Naomh Conaill of Donegal has also been rearranged for Sunday, December 12th. The decider had already been postponed once due to the cold snap.
With the Leinster hurling and football finals called off yesterday, there will be no GAA action this weekend.
