There will be no announcement this evening on the venue for Munster’s European Cup semi-final with Castres.

A meeting between European Rugby Cup Ltd and officials from Lyon is taking place tonight in France to ascertain whether the city’s municipal stadium, with a capacity of 40,000, will be made available for the match.

It is understood the mayor of Lyon, who is attending the meeting, will have the final decision on whether the stadium can be considered as an option.

The alternative venue to host the game, which will take place on April 27th, is a 20,000 capacity stadium in Beziers.
