Munster will face either Neath or Cardiff in the Celtic League Final following a convincing 42-10 defeat of Ulster at Thomond Park this evening.

Despite the near freezing conditions the atmosphere was red hot and straight from the first whistle there was an edge about this eagerly anticipated tie.

However what looked to be a gripping game in the making was spoiled early on when enthusiasm got the better of some of the players and an ugly brawl ensued just inside the Ulster half.

Munster had already got on the scores sheet at this stage through John Kelly but despite their disadvantage Ulster managed to claw their way back in with some typically accurate tactical kicking from David Humphreys.

Munster's advantage soon began to tell though and they were threatening with nearly ever phase of possession.

The homeside ran in four more tries while Ulster relied on Humphreys to claim their solitary five pointer, conversion and penalty.
