The investigation into the death of a 50-year-old man in Tralee has been upgraded to a murder inquiry.
The man has been named as Eddie Joe Clancy, who was originally from Lohercannon but more recently of no fixed abode.
He was found with severe head injuries on Bridge Street at 1.45am. He was brought to Tralee General Hospital and died at 3am.
Gardai are examining CCTV footage as part of the investigation.
