Yesterday's movers on transfer deadline day: Birmingham City have snapped up Brentford's FA Cup goalscorer Dudley "DJ" Campbell for £1 million on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

It is believed they have agreed an initial £500,000 fee with the London club for the former Yeading striker, which could double based on appearances and what he achieves at St Andrew's.

The 24-year-old shot to prominence by scoring twice for Brentford in Saturday's 2-1 win over Sunderland which earned a fifth-round tie against Charlton.

Sunderland have signed Southampton's Rory Delap on a two-and-a-half-year deal. The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins on a free transfer.

Robert Earnshaw ended his fractious relationship with West Bromwich Albion by agreeing to join Norwich City, in a deal worth up to £3.5 million, the highest fee paid by any club on the final day of the transfer window.

Blackburn Rovers have signed Liverpool striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle on loan until the end of the season and have made David Bentley's loan from Arsenal permanent.

Danny Murphy leaves Charlton for Tottenham for an undisclosed fee while Hossam Ghaly has also joined Spurs. The 24-year-old signs from Feyenoord and has won 19 caps for Egypt but is not at the African Cup of Nations because of a groin injury.

Michael Brown, meanwhile, has left Spurs for Fulham for an undisclosed fee.

Portsmouth have signed the Argentina playmaker Andres D'Alessandro. The 24-year-old has joined on loan from Wolfsburg for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent switch. One player leaving Fratton Park could be Zvonimir Vukic, who claims he has joined Partizan Belgrade on a six-month loan.

West Ham were hoping to sign the right back Lionel Scaloni from Deportivo La Coruna after Gabri chose to stay at Barcelona. Scaloni, a 27-year-old Argentinian, was having a medical last night.

AC Milan confirmed they have rebuffed renewed Manchester United interest in the Switzerland midfielder Johann Vogel.

Fulham have allowed the defender Zesh Rehman to join Norwich on loan for the rest of the season. The Pakistan international has been joined at Carrow Road by Jonatan Johansson from Charlton.

Manchester City have signed the Southampton central defender Matthew Mills.

Arsenal have allowed Dutch youngster Quincy Owusu-Abeyie to join Spartak Moscow for an undisclosed fee.
