Kampala - The results of an opinion poll published yesterday by Uganda's state-owned New Vision newspaper show that the incumbent President, Mr Yoweri Museveni, has opened a wide gap in the presidential race, scheduled for March 7th.
The New Vision poll, conducted among 2,994 voters between February 15th and 20th, shows that Mr Museveni is leading with 52.9 per cent of the vote compared to his nearest rival, Mr Kiiza Besigye, with 39.4 per cent.
