London - A booklet launched by Britain's Labour government urges teachers to ban the game of musical chairs on the grounds that it encourages aggression.

"A little bit of competition is fine, but with musical chairs the competition is not fair because it is always the biggest and strongest children who win," the booklet's author, Sue Finch, was quoted as saying in the London Times yesterday. Ms Theresa May, education spokeswoman for the Conservative Party, criticised the Education Minister, Ms Margaret Hodge, for launching the booklet, saying it was "political correctness gone mad".
