Catherine McDonnell, from Blackrock, Co Dublin, is the mother of a 7-month-old boy.
"I think the campaign seems to be fairly standard and run of the mill so far. "I think Fianna Fáil are so jaded, and the others are cashing in, whatever the angle is. I don't answer the door to politicians. I look out the curtains and if it's a politician, I just run. I'm thinking of putting up a poster saying no election material. I don't really care how smiley they are. I know myself . . . I vote for stamina and stance, I'm not interested in glossy techniques.
"I tend not to vote for mainstream candidates . . . I also don't like being told 'we really care'. I decide for myself if they care. I would like to see a change of government - even if people like this Government, it needs to change, they've been there too long. My vote would be Greens, then Labour and possibly Fine Gael."
