A man (19) has been killed and three people are in hospital after a crash in Co Wicklow this afternoon that has led to the closure of the N11.
Gardaí at Arklow are investigating the crash involving an articulated truck and two cars at Clonpadden near Arklow town at around 4.30 pm.
The road just north of the Arklow by-pass remains closed this evening as the scene is investigated. Diversions have been put in place from Jack Whites Pub and Scratenagh Cross.
A 19-year-old man died when the Volkswagen Golf van he was driving collided with an articulated truck. The trailer of truck then slid across the road and collided with a Peugeot 405.
A man and woman had to be cut from the wreckage and taken to St Vincent's Hopsital in Dublin where the woman is in a serious condition.
The lorry driver was also taken to St Vincent's Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
