Racing: Saturday's race meeting at Naas and Sunday's card at Failryhouse have been called off due to waterlogged tracks.
Naas was set to stage both the Woodlands Park 100 Club Novice Chase and the Bank Of Ireland Hurdle but heavy rain has taken its toll.
"They had 20 millimetres overnight which they didn't expect and the track is waterlogged," said Turf Club spokesman Cliff Noone.
Kicking King, the 2005 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, was due to run at Fairyhouse's Normans Grove
Chase but the fixture has now been rescheduled for Wednesday.
"They have postponed the meeting as they are unraceable due to waterlogging," said Noone.
"The meeting will now be held on January 23rd with the original entries standing and a declaration stage on Tuesday."
Cork have called a precautionary inspection for 8am on Sunday ahead of their afternoon meeting.
Although he track is currently raceable, the ground is described as heavy and the venue is subject to adverse weather forecast.
Cork is the only meeting set to go ahead in Ireland this weekend.
Tomorrow's meeting at Wincanton has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track. Sunday's cards at Market Rasen and Towcester are off for the same reason.
This afternoon's meeting at Catterick goes ahead after the track experienced a dry night.
