Rugby:Isa Nacewa has been named Leinster's player of the month for December and January.
Nacewa has featured in 13 of Leinster’s games this season and was nominated for his strong performances in three Heineken Cup pool games which took place in those months.
A standout moment came when he scored Leinster’s only try of the game against London Irish at Twickenham.
“I’m delighted to receive this award. It gives you a boost ahead of the coming weeks to back up the performances and try to aim for that award again,” said Nacewa, who recently returned from New Zealand after getting married to his new wife Simone in Auckland.
“It was my first time back home in New Zealand since signing for Leinster, so it was nice to celebrate my wedding to my beautiful wife Simone.
Nacewa is looking forward to getting back to action with this weekend’s Magners League game against the Scarlets at the RDS. “It’s majorly important game for us, not to get back on track this weekend, but to carry on from where we left off.
“It has been a good couple of weeks (in terms of) resting up and getting the body right, but it’s now back to business.”
